Terrorist attacks by Muslims, an increasing threat from extreme right-wing groups and polarization in the society. According to scientists and security services, radicalisation is a process underlying these problems.
As an hands-on expert and academic I have tried to get to know and understand the people behind radical beliefs. Through my experience I have gained insights that enable me to see connections and similarities between people who are diametrically opposed to each other.
I share my insights with students and pupils, I debate with them to see together how we can recognize the breeding ground for radicalisation and what we as a society can do to counter polarisation and tensions. In addition, I share my insights as an expert with administrators, policymakers and teachers.
